Neighborhood Revitalization

Neighborhood Revitalization
Kansas City Police Department

The Foundation’s grantmaking in the category of Neighborhood Revitalization seeks to reverse or prevent blight in neighborhoods. The Foundation also supports programs and projects that promote lasting, comprehensive redevelopment. The Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) is working towards preventing blight and promoting comprehensive redevelopment through reducing crime. KCPD recognizes that in order for a neighborhood to thrive its community members need to feel safe. KCPD has hired a social worker for each of its six precincts to connect officers to community to get to the root of crime. The Hall Family Foundation is proud to partner with the KCPD and the Police Foundation of Kansas City in efforts to reduce crime and improve neighborhoods.
